CSU College of Engineering – Civil Engineering Outcomes-Based
Education (OBE) Framework
The CSU-COE BS in Civil Engineering program adapts the
Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) framework as shown (Figure 1). The framework
presents a collaborative interaction from all levels – course, program and
institution, depicting a common objective to Outcomes-Based Education (OBE).
Teaching and Learning Strategies and Activities (TLSA) as the core to OBE should be allied with the Program Outcomes (PO) and Program Educational Objectives (PEO). The program output, as a whole, should uphold the university vision and mission. Internal Assessment and Evaluation (A & E) must be continuously taken for program and course improvement and development. The Program Advisory Council (PAC), composed of the internal and external stakeholders, will be manifested for consultation of feedbacks and inputs for program updates and enhancement. With this, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) will ensure better program and course processes. The CSU COE BSCE program must undergo series of accreditation levels, local to international, to attain quality and maintain global competitiveness.
